Interdisciplinary Congress on Dynamics

We recognize the contributions of Professors Valéria Neves Domingos Cavalcanti and Marcelo Moreira Cavalcanti, who have been part of the Department of Mathematics at the State University of Maringá for many years. During this period, they have dedicated themselves to teaching and research and have played an important role in the development of mathematics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Their work has focused on Partial Differential Equations, Nonlinear Analysis, and Dynamical Systems, with important contributions to the study of distributed systems, especially in topics such as stability, controllability, and energy decay in evolution equations

They have also supervised many graduate students, contributing to the formation of new researchers and to the development of research collaborations in mathematics. Their legacy is reflected in their dedication to teaching and in the guidance and support they have consistently offered to students and colleagues.

On this special occasion, we celebrate the 60th birthday of Professor Valéria Neves Domingos Cavalcanti and the 70th birthday of Professor Marcelo Moreira Cavalcanti, and express our appreciation for their contributions to mathematics and to our academic community.
