I Edition

Interdisciplinary Congress on Dynamics

Differential Equations · Dynamical Systems · Applied Mathematics
  June 8–11, 2026 |   Londrina – PR, Brazil

About the congress

The Interdisciplinary Congress on Dynamics (ICD) will be held from June 8 to June 11, 2026, in Londrina, Paraná, Brazil. The ICD is centered on three main themes — Differential Equations, Dynamical Systems, and Applied Mathematics — and aims to promote the exchange of ideas, recent advances, and innovative applications. The congress seeks to strengthen interactions between theoretical developments and recent problems, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across different areas of mathematics.

The program will include plenary lectures, invited talks, contributed parallel sessions, and poster presentations, providing opportunities for participants at different career stages to present their work and engage in scientific discussions. The ICD also aims to stimulate new collaborations and reinforce existing research networks at both national and international levels, bringing together researchers, professors, and graduate students from Brazil and abroad in a collaborative academic environment.

In this first edition, the ICD will also celebrate the 60th birthday of Valéria Neves Domingos Cavalcanti and the 70th birthday of Marcelo Moreira Cavalcanti, honoring their remarkable contributions to the development of the research field in mathematics within the scope of the ICD.

History of Previous Events

The Interdisciplinary Congress on Dynamics (ICD) emerges, in its first edition, as the result of a consolidated trajectory of scientific initiatives in the areas of Differential Equations, Dynamical Systems, and Applied Mathematics in the state of Paraná. Over the past decades, the Sociedade Paranaense de Matemática (SPM), in collaboration with graduate programs in Mathematics of the State University of Londrina, the State University of Maringá, and the Federal University of Paraná, has promoted and supported relevant international events, such as:

  • Workshop Paranaense on Partial Differential Equations, Maringá, 1998;
  • II Paraná Symposium on Differential Equations, Londrina, 1999;
  • III Paraná Symposium on Differential Equations, Londrina, 2008;
  • IV Symposium on Partial Differential Equations, Maringá, 2016;
  • V Symposium on Partial Differential Equations, Maringá, 2019.

In addition, the SPM also supported the organization of national events, such as the Paraná Symposia on Differential Equations, among other scientific meetings that have contributed to strengthening the field and consolidating national and international collaboration networks. With the growth and maturation of research groups and their lines of work, particularly within the three central scopes of the ICD — Differential Equations, Dynamical Systems, and Applied Mathematics — the congress is configured as a natural expansion of these pioneering initiatives. In this context, the ICD is established as an international event, aimed at fostering scientific integration, promoting discussions on theoretical advances, and exploring contemporary applications of mathematics in the field of differential equations.
